Ian was born and raised in Hawaii and ended up in Madison after detours through Connecticut, Germany, and New York City. He has a B.A. in English from Wesleyan University and M.S. in Accountancy from Baruch College. He also holds an active CPA license from New York State.
After nearly ten years in public accounting and corporate finance, most recently at Madison Gas and Electric Company here in town, Ian pivoted to working as a financial advisor for individuals, families, and small to medium-sized businesses. He currently splits his time between the domestic and international practices.
Ian lives in Madison with his wife and son. In his free time he enjoys literature, music, horology, home renovations and lawn care.
